Monterosa Walserwaeg by UTMB 82km (Monte Rosa Trail, MRT) is a UTMB World Series race held each July in the Aosta Valley of Italy. The point-to-point course starts in Pont-Saint-Martin — a Roman-founded town with an ancient bridge at the gateway to the Lys Valley — and finishes in Gressoney-Saint-Jean, a traditional Walser village at the foot of Monte Rosa. The route traverses the Lys Valley and Val d'Ayas, passing through the historic Castle of Graines and crossing the Rothorn Pass with views of the Matterhorn range before descending to the finish.
