Cold Hawaii Ultra 81 km is the 50-mile distance of the Cold Hawaii Ultra, held on September 19, 2026, in Thy National Park on Denmark's North Sea coast. The course covers 81.3 km with 180 m of total gain — 2.2 m/km — in a true point-to-point south along the West Coast Trail (Vestkyststien) and the old lifeboat road (Redningsvejen), finishing at Vesterhavshytten and Signal Mast in Agger.
There is almost no elevation. The challenge is wind, sand, distance, and the raw exposure of running 81 km through coastal dunes and North Sea heathland. The 'Cold Hawaii' name is not ironic: the area is Scandinavia's premier surf destination, famous for cold, powerful North Sea conditions.
