The Salomon Ultra Pirineu 100K is one of Spain's most prestigious trail ultras and one of the few 100km events in the DTR catalogue that reliably sells out. The race covers 100km / 6,600m D+ (66.0 m/km) through the Parc Natural del Cadi-Moixero in Catalonia, starting at 5:30 AM on October 3, 2026 from Baga, 90 minutes from Barcelona (BCN). The race opens with its hardest single section: 2,031m of elevation gain in the first 17km to Niu de l'Aliga (2,537m) -- poles are essential on this section.
From there the race alternates major climbs and descents, with a penultimate 672m / 4km kick near km 80 before the final 9km descent to Baga. October conditions: 3 degrees C pre-dawn start, icy and snowy above 1,800m. The DNF rate is 30%, one of the best-documented difficulty indicators in the DTR catalogue. Entry: EU198 / EU1.98/km. Sold out for 2026. Founded 2011; 26h30m cutoff. BCN 90 minutes.
