Auge um Auge KoBoLT ('Eye for an Eye') is a 72.5km point-to-point trail race held on the night of November 28–29, 2026, starting at midnight from Koblenz Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and following the Rheinsteig hiking trail through the Rhine gorge forest to Bonn-Oberkassel, Germany. The course covers 72.5km with 2,980m of gain (~41 m/km) — the steepest per-km of the three KoBoLT distances. The entire race runs in darkness; sunrise arrives only in the final hours approaching Bonn. Late November temperatures run 0 to -5°C with mud, ice, and possible snow. Entry fee not yet confirmed for 2026 (check kleiner-kobolt.de). Cologne Bonn (CGN) airport is approximately 74 minutes away; excellent rail to Koblenz start and Bonn finish.
